Find your tribe….Love them hard

tribe2

One of the reasons for starting this blog now versus any other time is because of a member of my tribe.  To me, my tribe is my friends and family who make me happy, lift me up when life gets tough, encourage me consistently and love me no matter what.

I grew up in Texas and still have a tribe there that I see every time I go “home” to visit. I’ve known most of them for 40+ years! I have a tribe of friends here in California that I see more often – some I’ve known for 30+ years and others just a few short years.

It doesn’t matter the number of years we’ve been friends, because when you meet someone and have a connection with them, it just works….and you know it!

Finding your tribe is so very important.  We all want to belong to someone or some thing. I was lucky enough to find my tribe early on in life and its been growing ever since.

You can find your tribe anywhere. I found my TX tribe at school when I was young and I met my CA tribe through the various jobs I’ve held, the places I’ve lived and raised my family and most recently from an author’s page on Facebook. This last tribe was a group of complete strangers that I found I had a common interest with – we all loved a particular book series written by an author and we were members of her Facebook page. One day one of the gals decided to have a meeting for all of the Southern California people and from that chance meeting 3 years ago, we became a tribe of 21 kind, loving and caring women ranging in age from 27 to 63, single, married, divorced and separated. We come from all types of backgrounds and live all over the southern California area, but that one commonality brought us together. It’s an amazing tribe that I’m so proud and blessed to be a part of.

If you don’t have a tribe, you are welcome to become a part of mine and hopefully I can help you start building your own. Join me on this journey of sharing thoughts, feelings, experiences, dreams and goals and meet other GIT girls. We all have a little goddess inside of us. Let’s bring your inner goddess out and help you find your tribe. Your life will be forever changed, this I can assure you.

Do you have a tribe? If so, how did you meet them? How does your tribe enhance your life?

Welcome Goddesses!

Thanks for joining me!  I’m so happy that you’re here!

I’m a GIT it girl (Goddess In Training)

I’m here to remind you and hopefully inspire you to GIT it Girl! Release your inner Goddess and glow….live the life you were destined for and get the most out of it.  Will it be easy? No. Will it be worth it? Yes! I believe we all have an inner goddess who’s just waiting to get out, but we’re either not sure how to let her out or whether we really want to. Join me on a journey to leading a happier, healthier and more positive life.  When you’re happy and confident it shows and people around you will feel it. If you live the life you love, you’ll love the life you live.
